Allerton Bywater Codes

This was the second Millennium Community following Greenwich Millennium Village. After enabling the successful re-design following the failure of winning scheme Mick was asked to develop the master plan in detail and design codes. Mick worked along side a number of architects and their clients while also was the developing influential Design Codes. Described by Leeds City Council as one of the most important design documents since the Essex Design Guides the Allerton codes utilised used 3D modelling and animation to communicate the design requirements needed to make the development a success. Mick has always believed that most design coding is far too restrictive, generic and inspiring. The key is to convey what is possible, not what can’t be done.
